Was hoping to get a few opinions on adding recovery points to the front bumper of my 2020 TRDOR.

Im planning on getting the front hitch receiver from mobtown offroad:

As you can see it comes with two spots to attach d loops, however, you can order it without those two points.

I like the idea of ordering without the d loop attachments given that it means less modification to the bumper. What I am wondering is if I will miss out on having these two recovery points or if the stock recovery points with the ability to throw a d loop in the receiver will likely be sufficient.

It's really a personal call. Do you do much offroading where front recoveries are likely? It's nice to have 2 attachment points, to distribute the load, but it's not critical. It's also nice to have one on either side, in case you're not pulling from straight center.

However, a central single point is better than none.

For what it's worth, I don't think the difference in modifications is that substantial, with or without the D-loops.

Most of the off-roading I do is solo, so likely not a feature I would be using all that frequently

I have the Mobtown Front Recovery Bar without tabs. I feel that the 2" receiver will be fine in the event I need to pull forwards.

I got mine for the ability to push my Jayco Baja 10Y where I need it. And future proof if/when I get a cradle winch setup for the three 4x4 vehicles I have.
