    You can build your own line output convertor for most factory stereos. It's useful for adding a subwoofer to your stock system.

    It can be used with a speaker still connected to the speaker output or no speaker connected. If no speaker is connected sometimes the stereos fader will not fade the amplifier out, which can also be useful. Although it will work for adding an amp for mids and highs that typically will get engine noise out of those higher frequency speakers that are connected to the amp, but not always.
