Is there a connection with power spray cleanIng my engine and engine compartment and the power lock actuators? I had nothing but problems with all four of my door actuators in my 2007 Tundra. It got to a point that I just relied on MANUALLY opening the doors. I brought a new 2019 Tacoma and power spray the engine once, and had to replace a door actuator this week?
It can’t be a coincidence that BOTH trucks would have actuator problems?

You're asking if cleaning your engine bay creates problems with your door locks? No I'd assume that it's just coincidence.
And please don't use "Help!" As a thread title unless it's an actual emergency.

I agree don't power wash your engine, as asking for problems. Cleaning with a spray bottle, or even gentle rinse from water hose typically ok, but do not power/pressure wash.

Please update the thread title to be descriptive of the issue rather than just "Help".

Applying high pressure water to any engine bay isn’t a good idea.
Especially ones with a lot of electric components.

About the only thing I do is use clean out leaves and debris by hand.
And maybe one in a while blow it out with the air compressor. And then I use caution.

Check your fuses, and connections. You may have forced water in to one or more of the connections.

Just delete this thread. The title is terrible and never power wash your engine compartment.

The problem is you're not using a high enough pressure device to safely clean your engine bay. A power washer is too weak to completely get the engine grime safely away from the door lock actuators. This is a well documented issue with the 3rd gen trucks. You need to invest in an industrial airport jet cleaner, or do what i do and use your local volunteer fire Dept to clean your engine bay safely for you. They'll be happy to help you, just ask!

I had an 01 Tacoma that a detail company power washed the engine compartment. Cost them $330 to fix a sensor. I've never even thought of power washing mine.
