Rear seats missing pull tab

Did something change in the 2020 that they removed the lower seat bottom pull tab to access the under seat storage??

 

I think I saw someone else mention this too. So, yeah Toyota probably nixed the pull tabs. I honestly just pull up from the side anyway.

 

hmmmm...yeah it’s just odd they would do that. I would probably do the same and tuck them away!

 

Did you lift the seat to see if it is just tucked back behind the bench? My 2011 does not have any kind of latch so the pull tab is there just to make it easier to pull up bench.

 

yep I lifted the seat and nothing was there.

 

I haven't checked the recent models. But I know previously the latch would sometimes fall under the seat and go unseen.

yeah, it looks like it unfortunately. I just wanted to confirm it wasn’t an error when they installed the seats at the factory!

I’ve got a 2020 and I have pull tabs. I don’t have leather though.

 

I wonder if leather is treated different...hmmm

Yep, that's now gone. The lock boxes under the seat feel cheaper too. I have TRD cloth and it and it's stitching is cheaper. They removed the ability to turn off the headlights too in Canada at least (effing STUPID), removed the go pro mount. Interior lights are still dim AF.

 

First the driver side grab handle and now this. Oh the humanity. In an effort to maximize profits, Toyota engineers decided to delete this highly coveted feature.
