FIL had a oak tree taken down and told me to come and take the wood . Gotta sharpen my chainsaw chain and file the rakers down before I do. Mix some fuel up too . I got no problem doing the work for free firewood.. gonna also buy a splitter. Already got a bunch of logs to split as it is

I'm still stock but I've heard of people with the 4 cylinder using the Doug Thorley header. IDK about V6 though.

I have a HUGE beech tree I have to get cut down soon. Already got one quote of $900..and trying to find out whose side it is on. I'm doing it regardless b/c a huge limb fell off 2 years ago and fucked up the bed of my truck.

Can get some good lumber from those . Firewood too.
My neighbor finally got rid of a huge silver maple that I was worried about that was hanging near my house.

Edit: he asked if I wanted the reasonable sized limbs as the trunk was about 4’ and just too big to work with, that he could have them lower them onto my land , but his wife wasn’t aware and that they just hauled it away . Oh well. There’s more where that came from

Yeah the guy on the other side of me has a wood stove and I always give him first shot at the wood. He'll be digging it.

I would suggest renting a log splitter from sunbelt rentals. If you reserve it for a Friday rental it's due back next business day. If you get it a Friday before a Monday holiday you get 3 days for $100. Get all your logs done at once.

Very relaxed Sunday for me. Didn't do much as I worked some long shifts the past 3 days down in CT so today is recovery day from that.

mmmm looks like ammo to me

that’s awesome!! Wait until the baking competition- he’ll blow them all away with that one too! I still have a pinewood derby car my bro made for me when he was a kid, modeled it after my football jersey with colors and numbers

Bingo! 13 pallets, almost 22,000 lbs of ammo going to AAA police supply. You guys sure go through a lot of that stuff!
