I have a 2001 taco prerunner with stock suspension. Currently in college so don’t really have all the money in the world although that would be nice. I know a fair amount about my truck, enough to do basic maintenance and make girls heads spin lol. Anyways I was wondering if any of you more experienced gentlemen/ladies could give me some advice on reliable but relatively low in cost suspension or even block leveling kit. I’d like to go around 2.5”-3”. Also maybe small wheel spacers. Just something to give the truck a little more aggressive look while still classy. Input and advice is greatly appreciated!!!

Measure the height of each fender to determine how many inches you need to sit level. typically its no more than ~2". Bilstein 5100s are adjustable using your stock coils to level it out, but itll make it stiffer as well.

So if I want a softer ride I’d be looking at replacing the whole coil assembly? If so do you recommend a particular brand?

Yes. Though most of the aftermarket leveling/lift stuff is going to be more stiff than stock. Most people on here prefer it over the floaty-ness of stock. 5100s cranked up on stock coils will be cost-effective. 5100s/OME coils work well together and a lot of people use that combo on here as well as OME coils with their nitrochargers.
