Just ordered. I'm looking forward to the install in the next week or 2 ... I will report back on the outcome. I appreciate the quick turnaround on the initial request!

image0.jpg image1.jpg The ABN bearing race and seal busing driver kit from Amazon shown at the bottom of this page does NOT include a part big enough to install INNER seal behind hub. The largest it has is size 3.18 but the inner seal is 3 11/16th

Unfortunate news for the guys currently waiting, yesterday I asked the bearing distributor for the tracking on my last order and he replied they went out mid last week and he'll get the tracking to me today- I received an email today saying they in fact had not been shipped and he's sorry they'll go out today. This has outgrown my tried/true numbers to keep on order/stock to offer quick turn around, it seems members have begun waiting upwards of a week so I'm going to have to make some adjustments on my end. It doesn't help when the distributor slips up.

Just keep the communication up! From my experience that makes a huge difference. You're just the middle man, anyone buying from you needs to remember you're doing this on your time, providing a service for their benefit.

Agreed! I ordered expecting to wait several weeks. For the service you’re offering, I don’t think anyone has room to complain about lead times. Keep up the good work (especially on my set:woot:) haha!

Agree as well. I put my order in knowing this was something I’ll tackle when the parts come in rather than an urgent (overnight) need. Thanks for the heads up!

I just replaced one side the other day with one of your hubs. The one I removed only had about 14K miles on it. I still have the groaning sound so I’m assuming it’s the other side that needs to be replaced. The one I removed spins very smoothly with no noise or grinding, but doesn’t free spin. As in, I can’t spin it and it spins on its own. How easily does a good, new hub spin when you spin it? Will it continue to rotate after flicking it? (Hard to explain but that’s the best I can!)
    Thanks!

They don't spin freely. Wheel bearings often won't make noise when they aren't under load, ie no vehicle weight.

An easy diag for left or right is to go down a straight road. Then saw the wheel from side to side. If the groaning gets louder turning left then it's your right bearing. If it gets louder turning right then it's your left. This is because you are loading the bearing opposite you are turning.
You can also say if it goes away turning left it's not the left and visa versa for the rt.

This diagnosis is what I used the first time I replaced them 14K miles ago. It ended up being the reverse! So I figured it was reversed again but the diagnosis evidently was correct this time and I replaced the wrong side. Again. FML.
    Thanks.

Received Saturday afternoon and completed the install on Sunday. The noise reduction is unbelievable. Thanks again! It was very clear this was needed after spinning the removed assemblies and listening to them grind away.

Has anyone bought these and taken them to a shop for install? I've got a busted finger and need to have this done soon. Local shop just quoted me $1,200 for both front bearings and hubs. Seems like a lot to me.

F that! Where in Texas are you? I don't mind helping if you're close.
I've done it 3 times now & it takes me ~1 hour to do each side, from start to finish.
