I will be driving from texas to colorado through utah to malibu. 3 week trip give or take. what are some of the best, must see places for those who camp in tx/ut/nm/az/co...i have plenty of ideas for places i want to hike but not nearly as many ideas of where i will camp

i have a GFC, just looking for places that seem safe and have good views/trails/etc. I mountain bike and trail run. just looking for anything you all might know!

Check the apps Boondocking and Campendium they have a lot of free spots plotted out. If you get too tired Walmart allows over night sleeping in their parking lots

Camping on the north rim of the grand canyon is pretty awesome as well.

Tons of camping in the national forests in Colorado.

Most Walmarts in Utah are "no camping allowed" surprisingly enough.
