Cool. That thing is probably almost as expensive as a TRDPro!

Great post! I've watched a bunch of their actual trip videos. The build videos have to be good too. Thanks for posting all in the same place!

Although I feel like my wallet is going to take a hit after these. :)

Watched those last night. That truck is insane. I can't wait for the Mackenzie trail episodes. Watching their show with my fiance (now wife) has completely gotten me interested in overlanding (considering getting rid of the Sierra Denali and getting a Taco), as she wants me to sell the motorcycle. Hopefully overlanding will be as fulfilling as adventure riding...

I’d be curious if this truck was ever regeared. There was nothing that I can see ever mentioned about it.

This thread was going on to 4 years old.....

Their truck was built before Nitro offered gears for it if I recall correctly.

Yes. All of their trucks have been regeared with nitro gears.

Yes, but they still have the truck. Obviously they’ve had it since they became available.
How do you know for sure? Do they mention anywhere?

I remember seeing the video of the XO crew at a gear shop getting nitro gears installed. Looks like they removed the video from their website...

Nitro gear talks about them in their website advertising the geared Tacoma.

Good find, thanks. Wonder if they ever did that comparison video as they said they would or if now that things have changed if they would have done a 5.29.

I'm not aware of one and ive seen most everything from them.

They just redid some stuff on the tacoma for this year. They said they redid the differentials in a live vid yesterday. I think they may have gone to 5.29s but I haven't seen or heard anything for sure.
