sounds normal for a dealer, they also like to add spacer lifts that add 5k to the msrp some how

Going to offer them 10% below MSRP if it still there at the end of the month.

Tell them you just want the truck. They can keep the protection.

I tried that in an email last week with taking some stuff off a new one. They haven’t emailed me back but have called 3 times. I send them to voicemail.

I’d find another dealership just after I told the first one what to do with their $5,000 BS!

That's where they make their profit. They make more on the warranty and add-ons than the truck. I bought an Audi A6 3 years ago and the finance guy (it's always in finance so they can add it to the payment) made the pitch for the full package - paint protection, extended warranty, etc., for $7000 to 'save' me money on repairs. I told him that if I ever spent $7000 for repairs on any car I'd never buy that brand again. Then he kept coming down. He finally got down to just the extended warranty for $4000. Finally he turns the monitor around and says, 'Here is my cost - $1995. I'll let you have it for $100 over my cost.' I had no idea they made THAT much money on those add-ons.

Same thing happened with us and a new suburban. Still didn’t buy the extended warranty.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
My dealer makes about 6000 off the dumb lift kits from dsi.. and they’re nightmares for us. Constant issues. But they won’t stop selling the junk. Literally 6” spacer lifts with stacked spacers up front
