Pardon me if this was addressed in the 2000+ pages of the OVTune thread or elsewhere, but I'm the second owner of a 2016. I can't find any history of TSB's being done on my truck.

OVTune's site says certain TSB's have to be done before tuning. How can I find out for sure if any have been done already?

If none have been done, is there a way to get the dealer to do it? I've heard some won't unless you specifically tell them you have issues, and I think it'd be somewhat shady to magically walk in with a list of issues identical to the TSB's I need done...

If I can't get them done, is there a risk associated with running OVTune without them?

If they’ve been done there’s a sticker under the hood if I remember correctly. Also if you have OVTune you can see what calibration your ecu is.

That makes me feel better. AFAIK the truck is out of warranty and I could imagine the dealerships around here balking at doing TSB's for me.

I have it- waiting on the registration file. Also have an ODB2 scanner I can use.
what would I be looking for in the mode$09 info?

might not hurt to update your "location" information as it is possible a TW member with TS may be able to assist you in updating to 04b04 if you are not updated to it yet. As for warranty - the tsb is valid for vehicles under 80000 miles - but Toyota is likely to tell you to pound sand as they get a reduced reimbursement for TSB work from the mother ship. In any event - get updated to 04b04 as the Tune is based on that ECU.

The only TSB that OVT really hammers on is the fuel pump.

Any dealer can pull the service history to see what TSB, Recalls, and other work that was done. They should provide it for free.

Beyond that, there's always the TSB flash. Search out the MT Update thread for all the instructions for both the MTs and ATs.

I have no idea about the stock 2016 AT calibrations, but I do know that you can update to 04B04 with the TSB software.

You might want to search out those threads?

You can use the cable and adapter that came with your tune kit, download and install tech stream from the link in tonered's sig line and do the TSB yourself. I don't know what tsb file you need. I am sure there are plenty of folks in here that will be willing to walk you through the process.

No TSB and I believe your tranny calibration is not current for 16-17 models. Mine Is 401400, you have 4B0000

Call them and tell them what you have and see if they can schedule you. But I think in your case they should accommodate you. Install techstream regardless

you are correct - your ecu is the base without any tsb's applied. Print off the tsb you have noted above and take it with you to the dealer - tell them you experience the issues documented in the tsb and would like your ecu updated to correct the issue(s). It should be done at no cost to you. Hopefully you have less than 80000 miles on the vehicle. If all else fails download the TS software and do it yourself as it looks like there is no TW member near you to assist. - Lots of information on this in the 3rd gen thread including the OVTune thread(s). I would recommend if you have issues to reach out to those with TS experience via DM message as apposed to thread posts.
