I would take this mishap any day. The more expensive oil change mishap on the Tacomas is accidently draining the transmission fluid. Engine degreaser will clean the mess.

Simple green is bad for aluminum.
    Turns the color bronze.

    FYI....
The aqueous-base and alkalinity of Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner can accelerate the corrosion process. Therefore, contact times for unprotected or unpainted aluminum surfaces should be kept as brief as the job will allow - never for more than 10 minutes.

Shit happens you won’t let it happen again I guaranty.
    Kudos for being honest.

    edit.
Dawn dish soap the blue stuff is pretty much safe on everything and cleans oil grease very well.

Edit 3/5/2020: Be careful with simple green...
Per the Mfg. website: It could cause corrosion
    https://simplegreen.com/faqs/

    My earlier post:
It's been said but I'll repeat it... Simple Green. Why? Safe for aluminum.

Dawn dish soap diluted with water 60/40 in a spray bottle. Let set for 15 - 20 minutes and rinse off with water hose. light stream not a power jet. should do the trick.
