Of course, if Mat requires us to update to dongle-less, then we update. It's not at all likely that we'd be flashing back to anything pre-2.0_final. The dongle is just a very nice user-side benefit/option

 

So will 2.0 final have a 93 FOB option like 1.05 does when it releases this weekend or will it just adapt to whatever octane you run? Also I run the FOB in 1.05 because of my 33's so I didn't know if 2.0 was going to have that option or just be a tune that solves everybody's problems no matter tire size or octane preference lol

 

Base and Tow / FOB were.discussed. With map switching up in the air, we may get two tunes, or we might need to wait until switching is sorted.

Wow, updating my truck with the new tune 2.0, just wow. That honestly is extremely impressive, it's not even the same truck. I absolutely love it so far after about 30+ miles. I wish I had 2.0 for the 150k I've already put on my truck. GREAT JOB OVTUNE!!!

 

Only that it is still being worked out. He needs a solution for every 3.5l model.

 

Yeah that's going to be tough lol I like FOB because it really helps me get decent mileage with 33's. Also, I'd like to little extra power when towing my SxS

 

It just depends if a solution is found. If not, then we should see two files.

The folks with Dump Tubes are in a similar boat also.

Just finished my drive into work (30 miles highway) in which the mpg is the same. 1st gear comes alive and she goes smooth to 2nd. Throttle response is a more natural feel and loving the feeling. Mat you knocked it out of the park.

 

That I certainly get, I was just curious I Hate to see the frustration for some folks on here just when things are getting really good.

 

Will this include the dump tube files?

 

Flashed 2.0F last night and noticed some ‘boggy’ acceleration in gears 1-3, when rpms fall below 2000 during shift...

Maybe learning and more miles will correct this, but I don’t remember having to wait for the bogging to be gone after flashing 1.05 or 2.0b, it just was gone from the get go.

I’m coming from 2.0b and am running Costco 86 (at elevation), outside temp this morning was ~38*.

I think your issue here is the gas. That's 5 octane points lower than the base (before learn) ignition is set. The ECU will have to perform quite a bit of correction for that. Also cold temps + elevation makes ignition even higher on the base.

So in this case your scenario is going to be worst case.
Super low octane + low total engine load


For people who are planning to use only regular gas, wait for the file that is base 87 OL. That way it learns UP, instead of flashing the file that learns DOWN.

Both files will be safe for any octane 87 or higher, but there will be bigger fluctuations with bigger octane changes.

The final version files will have names like:
Octane learn - regular
Octane learn- premium

Because premium depending on state can be anywhere from 90 to 94 octane
And regular can be 85 to 88 octane

So let's say you have the ECU "learned" for 94, and you fill up with 85. The truck is going to run like total dog poop for at least the first 20-30 miles
