Tbh It was over the phone since I'm in Minnesota. It's over 1500 miles from me.

Gotcha, understandable. Although, I can't see them budging on their end from just a phone call. I'd say it's their way to weed out all the "tire-kickers".

I’m a little biased but that’s the best year/color choice for a 2nd gen but to got dayum high on the price.
Good luck on your choice but tis a beautiful truck.

buy it. these are rare unicorns. even at $34k its worth it IMO.

arguably one of the best trucks ever made and there aren’t many of them out there in that config.

Bet if you gave them $34k then took it back a month later they’d offer you about $28k.

I feel like if someone bought this thing and kept it in a garage it would almost appreciate in value. There is a reason Toyota Japan doesn't want to replace the 4.0 in the 4runner

Yea my plan is to buy this and put it in the garage. Never drive it in the snow. I do however plan on using it when I go camping or on the weekends. I currently drive a rust bucket 2000 honda crv (5spd) and plan on driving it even if I get this. In the future I would try to add the trd supercharger (have that installed at a dealership) a cover for the bed but that's it. I would just leave it stock.

If you want to modify do not buy that, just get another 2nd gen or 3rd gen tacoma. That thing needs to be left stock otherwise it's worth 10k less than it is now

Wow really? I thought a trd supercharger would help the value?

This is a Gem. Pretty rare truck, and it's in great condition.

I don't think it would add any value on paper. However, that doesn't mean an individual wouldn't give you more if they seen the value. Something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay.

I saw this at Toyota Of Newport for sale too. I personally think it's to much.

Just buy it. You won’t care about the little extra you pay once you have it. You can’t compare it to new prices because they aren’t making anymore like this.
