My wife wanted a boy too...we did the early genetic testing that also revealed the sex and found out pretty early we were having a girl. I was excited but my wife took some time for it to sink in haha.

She's 1 month old now and wouldn't trade her for the world

Was in my 1st post ;)

We actually ended up getting a different stroller than the Graco one because my wife didn't like how 'chunky' the stroller was built....but it does work with the Graco strollers

Congratulations on the baby. That setup will work just fine. Mount the base in the center in order for both front seats to have leg room. The other option is sliding the passengers seat forward and your wife sitting in the back with the baby and the baby seat on the passengers side.

We used the Chicco Keyfit30, it a great seat and worth checking out.

Skip the Graco. We’ve had 4 of them and they all suck to install and remove.

Get the best britax you can afford

I have a 3 year old and a 5 year old. 3 year old is in a front facing britax and his feat are up against the seat and the 5 year old is in a booster with no issues. I agree with everyone saying that the rear facing would be best in the middle. I didn't have my Tacoma until my kids were already facing forward, so I can't offer much help in the early years. Just letting you know it does get better as they get older.

I recommend front seat back protectors for the kids feet as well. I have molle ones with some organization. Limited on what I can mount up due to the space issue for the car seats again. Can't wait until they are both in boosters, or out of the boosters altogether.

So far I think the front runner is the one I posted. We went to the store and test drove a few models and that the greco had one of the lighter chair portions which we figure is important for taking in and out of the car and for carrying around.

We're still in research mode though

Forgot to mention, in the early years, we had a Chicco rear facing carrier. Had a stroller combo with it, but we rarely used the stroller.

That's good to know. We we're trying to come up with the places we go where we'd actually need it. I'm sure there are but for the most part, I think we could get away without one.

We thought we would use it, but it's a big pain in the ass to haul it around. If we were doing any kind of walking, my wife liked to use one of those wraps that hold the baby close to her and she can still use her arms. I had some similar kind of baby carrier and we could switch off if needed. Shopping, the car seat would go into the cart.

Well coming from an access cab Ranger... the child seat was in the front and the wife (unhappily) went in the back. Now that he's 4 he fits (unhappily) in the upright seat in the back of my access cab Taco.

Made this a couple of days ago and thought it would be helpful to drop here for those looking to visualize the space in the back with car seats.

Just came across this thread! Seems to be a lot of July babies here. We're expecting our boy in July as well! We're going with the UPPA Baby Vista - This link is for the Stroller/Seat and Bassinet but you can buy them separately.

    https://www.amazon.com/UPPAbaby-Ful...keywords=uppababy+vista&qid=1583413825&sr=8-4

It's on the pricier side but we want to have another kid, so the stroller turns in to a double. Also the seat overall is nice and fits the Tacoma well. I would suggest going to a Buy Buy Baby store, if you have one near you because they'll let you test the different seats in your truck.

I'm 5'8" (on a good day), and my 1 year old granddaughter fits snuggly behind my drivers seat. We have a similar setup!

Awesome! Makes me feel much better about it now that I see it will fit in an access cab!
