Ok someone start this thread. I already started the "why so many stickies" thread and prob be just looked at as a trouble maker.

I will do the first reply. I don't like Castrol Oils. I don't know now why. Some one one time in my distant past probably said it was bad.

There are some very small refining companies out there that make oil that meets all the specs and I have used a few of them to support local business and/or small businesses in my work trucks
They will print my company logo directly on the sticker on the drum .... The point here is buy the color bottle you feel the most appealing

People act like their Tacomas are unicorns that require special oil and fluids. Even the Jeep guys aren’t this retarded.

I've seen dumbasses on every forum stomp their feet in oil threads. It's really weird how people act when you bring up oil. Same irrationality as religion or politics.

I wonder if a thread on toilet paper would net similar reactions. Reviewing a used paper analysis would be interesting to say the least.

Like what the other guys said any 0W-20 synthetic (I prefer a quality one but cheapy seems to still last 10k) however I believe the Toyota genuine is a idemitsu formula that ExxonMobil blends for them as it has something like 600 or 800 ppm moly (we called it black gold due to the price, good friction modifier and antioxidant) where the Mobil 1 is very good but doesn't have as much moly. So yes both made by Exxon but different formulas. Can switch freely between the two though. Oh TBN on the Toyota oil is also very high so really long oil life. forgot what I found on PQIA but something like 10 or 11 vs. only 7 on cheapy stuff.

Your toilet paper has a high chance of breakthru. Mine will go 2,000 wipes without incidence of a dirty sombrero.

I feel like we treat cars like our children.

Your stepchild gets the foreos and Aldi bread
Your favorite son gets Oreos and Organic parmesan crusted bread

They all grow up the same but... I love my Taco and Imma give her the good stuff!

Do Taco Tuesday’s fall under the severe use maintenance interval?

Would you believe me if I told you there was an entire forum dedicated to the discussion of oil? It sounds absurd, but hear me out...

Yep and they back up their conversation with facts, which means they have some basis to go off of. Compared to jim bob on here who took advice from his uncle cleatus on oil.

Facts, yes. And they are sure to cite their sources.

But still...an entire forum of people discussing oil. A rational person would think that conversation should last about 3 threads and just end.

Yet there it is. A place where people flock to discuss

    Oil
