Has anyone tried linking the horns together (standard horn and the panic mode)? From what I can tell there are two different horns and the Panic horn only comes on when it's in panic mode. The standard horn goes off simultaneously with the Panic horn when in panic mode but by itself when it's pressed on the steering wheel. The Panic horn is quite a bit louder than the standard horn but I wanted to know if anybody is tried linking them together yet. That way you have a dual tone horn for practically nothing.

I was wondering the same thing. I just recently picked up my 2017 Tacoma and discovered that the alarm has an extra horn. I'd love to combine them together, as it would sound much more aggressive! If anyone has any insight on this, that would be awesome!

Are you sure both horn drivers don’t sound during normal honking? I find my trucks horn has the dual tone sound compared to other horns, or other Toyotas I’ve owned. Interested to hear what others who have worked on third gen horns know.

I was wondering why there are two horns. Now I need to try the panic mode and see if there is a different sound vs the regular steering wheel horn.

My truck has a panic horn? How does it know when I'm panicked?

    Full disclosure, I'm usually panicked.

Do all 2020 trims come with an alarm? Insurance companies often ask if your car has a "passive" alarm (whatever that means), and I wanna be able to answer 'Yes' when I'm getting an insurance quote.

    Passive alarm sets itself.

If u wanna know if it has an alarm, have someone lock the doors from the outside with a fob, and open the door from the inside.
