Did you make those storage shelves/workbench off plans or on your own?

I already had a bunch of those plastics totes from Costco sitting in my garage so I built the workbench around them. Custom size for the area and totes

 

Looks real good, similar to what I want to do.

Made myself a little bracket to hold a ham radio antenna. More importantly, an excuse to use my new angle grinder. WAY better than a hacksaw like the days of old.

 

My buddy gave me this Wera 1/4" drive socket/bit/ratchet set for my bday.

It has the 5.5 for when you need to do your fan resistor.

 

The last few Craftsman tools ive bought have been garbage. I have a fair selection of Matco, Cornwell, and Blue Point as I use to wrench for a living. Ive found with a little research you can find out who makes each tool truck brands tools and buy them at a cheaper price point. For example, all of Matcos screwdrivers are by Witte in Germany and can be bought on Amazon.

 

Agreed.

I made the assumption bringing manufacturing back to the USA would be the same as manufacturing quality pieces like my 40 year old Craftsman.

I guess time will tell

 

The bean counters and EPA are likely to keep Craftsman tools from being manufactured the way they "should" be without raising the cost point quite a bit. But yes time will tell.

 

Here is mine.............I use the Milwaukee box the most, others are for overflow and old junk. I have an 80 gallon compressor with 2 reels, one on each side of the garage and installed a retractable extension cord reel as well.

I hear ya.

Craftsman, at least for me, has always been middling quality but the lifetime replacement guarantee was key. Especially with all the different locations.

These locations are coming back (Lowes, one of the hardware chains) so that’s good. I just hope they start to give out the free ratchet repair kits again.

I was hoping it was the JET air filter hanging in there. I'm building my own version of it right now. Everything is always dusty/glittery in my shop.
