2008-2017 truck bed sizing for a truck cap

Hello all. I have a an oppurtunity to get a pretty good deal on a 2015 ARE truck cap ("15 TY tacoma AC 73.5 MX 202 Black 99F" is what the tag reads. I have a 2017 access cab with the 6' bed, this was on a 2008 tacoma regular cab. Its a bit of a drive, so before I go and take measurements I wanted to see if anyone knew anything about this fitting? Appreciate any info you might have!

It won't fit correctly. 3rd gens have a different tailgate and rails, plus the shape of the AC cab is different than a single cab so the contours won't match.
