My u joints snapped while I was driving

    2001 tacoma v6 sr5 2wd
    I’m looking for the replacement for the piece in the pic. I know I need to replace both the u joints but I can’t find this piece at rock auto or my local auto store. I called my local dealership and idk if I just wasn’t explaining it right to the guy but he said Toyota didn’t have that part. Are there any aftermarket ones that I could get. Any help is appreciated. Also the driveshaft didn’t hit the ground. It’s a rwd, prerunner with the v6, a340e trans. Thanks everyone

    Thats the yoke, not the Ujoint that snapped :eek:

    Though as you know, you'll need a new Ujoint too. May as well replace all of them while you're at it.

    Not sure about yokes, but Ive had good luck with Ujoints and carrier bearings from https://www.drivetrainamerica.com

    I wasn't able to find only that particular part when I tried to search for it.
    The reason appears to be that it is sold as part of an assembly for a new drive shaft.
    If you do a google search for Toyota part number: 37100-04361 you will see that the component you are looking for is part of an entire assembly.

    My WAG would be the u-joint froze to the yoke and it twisted in two over time,,,, either way, it's broke.

    Appreciate the link. I save the site as a favorite.
    I was told the same thing by my local dealership. They wanted to replace the entire drive shaft for approximately $1200.
    Good to know that site you provided uses "Spicer" U-Joints.

    Absolutely, but there are plenty of OEM parts not available depending on the year and model as these trucks get older.
