Nice. yea I've had people flagged in league for them to let me pass and I literally told them no keep going and told the flagger to let them be. I like when racing gets tight.

I don’t have much of a front lawn as well. I rented for a half day . But you can get the most of it and a neighbors yard or something and split the cost...:notsure:

My neighbors don't talk to me. Not because we're at war or anything, just down here near the city, people just don't talk to each other like they do out in the boonies. I could hardly tell you most of my neighbors names. The kids all run around in a few different groups or with their parents, not in big groups like we used to back in the day. It's a different place....Anyway, tangent, but I have a broadcast spreader, I'll just wing it with that for this year at least.

I live in the boonies and I don't talk to 2 out of 3 of my neighbors. One's a complete moron & very white trash and I'd rather avoid conversation with him. The other's also very white trash but slightly brighter, but is also something of an illegal drug enthusiast and I'm not interested in getting too friendly with him.

I’m fortunate to have great down to earth neighbors in a quiet neighborhood. I do get where you’re coming from

The rating system irks me more than anything. I had a buyer pick a date and time. After waiting 20 minutes I messaged him and he said he was still on his way (he had been painful to deal with from Day 1) and I said peace out. I got a nice tirade of profanity and then dinged saying I wasn't punctual (wtf?).

It's almost worse because it's your real name / info so I'm less likey to say something back in case some crazy decided to do something dumb. I'd much prefer it to be CL when I'm effectively anonymous and can tell someone to go run into something sharp if I'm over dealing with them.

Mostly BMX, I have a 1986 Schwinn Predator Freeform EX as my favorite. 1990s Diamond Back mountain bike, a 1970s banana seat bike, and a new beach cruiser are the only ones that aren't. Any pics of the Hoff?

You'd like to think by that token someone would be less of a douche knowing that it's their real name as well..but people suck

Based upon my quick Googling it appears my first bike was a 1986 Schwinn Predator Gremlin 16". I loved that little bike. I had blue tires on it for a bit.

I've been lucky enough to weed out most of the scammers/deadbeats so far. Anybody who's not willing to meet in the parking lot at the local PD doesn't get to meet, period. I still don't show up without my CCW, just in case, but the location helps to weed out pretty much all of the 'rubber check' and 'might rob you' crowd. I've still ended up sitting there for 20-30 minutes just to get a 'sorry, not coming' message, though.
It's trickier when you're buying; lots of folks aren't willing to load up what they're selling and haul it to whatever their local PD would be. I've been to a look at a couple of things, both from CL and FB, where you show up and they've got 3 or 4 of their larger buddies hanging around. Which I've got no problem with, but I've had to politely ask more than one not to stand behind me.
Lots of sketchballs out there, for sure.

I had blue tires on my Huffy Thunder Road, my first BMX when I was 6. Matched the fenders.

Perfect world I meet in a public place. Only time I didn't to sell was my grass bagging system off a tractor and my metal brake. Not easy to hump into the truck, plus the brake was a bitch to move by myself. @Pugga remembers that big bitch

Offering up meeting near the local PD is a great go to...
When I was first living on my own after high school, I began to dabble in the Craigslist dealings when it started to become popular. Most worked out well, stocking up furnishings for my first apt. Others, I got very lucky. I bought set of bucket seats for my old truck from a drug dealer in oak park, IL (rough side of Chicago). He was extremely nice but brazen about opening his garage door and letting my see what else he was selling.
Later that same year, I had someone bail out on meeting me. On the way home I noticed a Camry following me. I though I was paranoid until they turned after me towards my apt complex. After about 20 min and 12 plus turns I led them to the local PD parking garage and called ahead to the police. An officer was outside but let the car pull a j turn and speed off. He thought I just ticked this person off and they were suffering from road rage.
