So this dude is rolling around in 100 degree summertime heat with his snowboard on this roof rack. Also need to mention you would need a step ladder to reach it. Closet snowboard resort is a solid 4 hours away and closed for the season.

Hit up Killington VT on Friday with my dad. This is the bottom of Outer Limits on Bear Mt.

I did it just to do it but it wasn’t that much fun in a board. They had just opened it and it was real choppy and ice covered. I had a lot of great runs, there was no one there. I felt like I had the whole place to myself.

Hope I’m not the only one who got some summer laps in! Had a great time earlier this month exploring Montana/Wyoming and skiing at Beartooth Basin. Now I can put the sticks away and enjoy summer. Ski photo 6/9/2020

Just paid for this year's season pass, they gave me some credit since last season got cut short.

They'll be operating under reduced capacity at the resort. Face coverings, distancing in the lift lines, etc.

I'll have to reserve days ahead of time on a calendar. Not looking forward to that but at least pass holders get some kind of priority over the regular day pass people.

Oh well, looking forward to some snow and being able to strap in again

We are in Reno and usually go down to Mammoth once a month. GF and I are sticking to the backcountry this year. I have a strong feeling that they will move to a reservation system later in the season. The rumor in Tahoe is that Ikon is only saying no reservations (currently) is to get passes sold. Havent heard any rumors about Mammoth.

Not sure what is going to be worse this season, all the gapers who are going to go into the backcountry without avy training or getting COVID while waiting in a 45 minute line at squaw.

Yayyy!!! I found it lol :woot: I’ve been trying to find a general snowboarding/ski thread for a bit now. Anyone on here up in the great white north(Canada eh) and riding the tiny hills of Ontario? Think I see a few people on here using the Ikon pass, this damn COVID B/S has cancelled my road trip down to Vermont/Maine with the taco and now I’m gonna be stuck kicking it local due to the border closure. Spent some time down in Vermont a few years back and have been doing trips out to Western Canada the last 2 years. Bought the truck so I said I wouldn’t do a flight trip out west and would drive down to the States :bananadead:. Looks like that’s not happening and all my Ikon is good for now is 2 hills, one 2 hours away, and the other one at least 7 over in Quebec. Tremblant is pretty decent though.

almost didnt get a ski pass, as jhmr literally sold out in days both times they opened season pass sales. Thankfully local business can still buy passes through some long standing deals. Pheeww.

Really hoping that the limited capacity at the resort will mean better snow for the early birds that are in line at 7-7:30 am. Will it be a shit show? ya, is it a gamble? totally. But im hoping once you're up mountain if you stay there, you'll be able to get good skiing without much more hassle.

normally back country laps are accessed from the top of the tram which will be a disaster for sure...so that might mean a few less of those, oh well.

and if all else fails, theres still the snowmobile and the split board
