Hey all, new to the world of modifying a vehicle but have been enjoying learning about it on TW and Youtube, etc.

I have a 2020 TRD Pro and I'd like to swap out the wheels for something else. (I don't care for the TRD Pro wheels and figure they have some value to someone else.) However, I'd like to keep the stock tires.

My question is - what are the wheel specs I need to shop for in order to match with the existing wheel?

I know the current tires are 265/70/16 and the wheels are 7Jx16 ET25, 6x139.7. Considering the existing wheels fit on the 7" wide wheels, am I restricted to a 7" wide wheel in the future? In order words, could those tires fit on a 9" wide wheel?

Thanks in advance... hope not too many are laughing at me. :)

Your stock tires are probably rated for up to a 8.5" wheel. 9" would be too wide.

Honestly, buy new tires, go up to 265/70R17 and get a beefy LT tire, take off's look like crap on any other than oem rims.

Sell the tires with the rims and save a huge hassle.

I’ll swap you my TRD OR wheels. Straight swap. I’ll even pay to have your tires mounted on them!

    thanks man.

any idea where to verify this? Would a call to a tire store? Or the Toyota dealer? Unsure what spec or measurement would tell this.

I believe Toyota is having their buy 3 get one free sale until the end of the month. If you’re getting tires you can save some $$$

Do you mind if I ask if there is anything specific that bothers you about the 2020 pro wheels? I've been considering ditching the 2018 OR wheels because I hate the colors/appearance. I was kicking around trying to find someone's cast off 2020 pro wheels so I'm curious to hear negative opinions on them.

Thanks for the question. I simply don't like the look. I'd also like a bit more offset so the tires stick out a little (for aesthetic reasons).
