I guess they think complaining about it will speed up the process.

I ordered mine on the last day of the Black Friday sale, and it took about a month or so. The sales bring in a lot of extra orders, and it looks like OVTune is a smaller operation, so it takes a while to catch up. Add the release of 2.0 final to that equation, and you might be in store for a longer wait. However, the wait is totally worth it. I have been so much happier with my truck after trying out both the 2.0 beta and the 1.05 87 performance tunes.

Weird. I've bought KTuner for the kids cars and it seems a little more streamlined.

You should go get a Tacoma tune from them and let everyone know how it is.

Blah blah blah. I bought something and expected something. I'm sure all the fanboys will like your post but I expect a certain level.

The software used to tune your vehicle is created by a software engineering company we work closely with. They are an international ECU editing and calibration software company, so there may be a delay from the time we receive your unique identifier code, to the time we are able to process and provide a License key.

We understand your frustration but also understand that the key generation is out of Mats control. All he can do is send the request to the key vendor and wait for their response before he can then send the key to you.

Rarely ever take up for the company as they can handle their own. But in his defense it is posted and known info if the buyer reads the info. Granted it’s a ton of info to take in and most don’t read everything word for word. I just happen to be a long time follower of the thread and finally decided last year to purchase. Within all the time reading I knew and understood the wait.

Here’s the info from his site -

The software used to tune your vehicle is created by a software engineering company we work closely with. They are an international ECU editing and calibration software company, so there may be a delay from the time we receive your unique identifier code, to the time we are able to process and provide a License key.
Another Software Company we work with is EcuTek International Ltd. They are also international (UK), so the same goes for the process with our ProECU Remote tuning kits.
While we work as quickly as we can to provide the best support possible, we would like our customers to take a moment to understand that in order to provide the best support, we need the necessary time to ensure everything is working appropriately.

This is not a "plug and play" install in 1 minute and done type of scenario. This is a professional ECM/ ECU Calibrating service that dissects and analyzes hundreds, if not thousands of pieces of information, lines of code, and binaries to build the proper safe, performance oriented Calibration for your vehicle that will outlive the car. Because of this, We need the necessary time to dive into the inner workings of YOUR ecu, and make the necessary changes.Because of this, it can take anywhere from 1 to 5 days to review and make the necessary changes to your ECU for an update.
