2017 Tacoma TRD sport suspensions 3” lift ideas?

    I got a used Tacoma back (photos of it above) in October and hoping to mod it a bit more so that it can handle the more Offroad excursions. So I’m starting off with the suspensions.

    I was just going to get a lift kit. But would it be better to gather them all individually?

    My plan is to have this truck lifted 3” and place a set of 33” tires on.

    what are some recommendations to lifting the front and back of my truck 3”?

    I was thinking after reading through the forums to get blisteins 5100 front coils overs and back, along with some 885 AAL it think it was? Good idea? Do I need to add more?

    stickers and sticker accessory's
    885 coils wont net you 3 inches in the front, neither will a single aal in the rear. Think the proper 3rd gen coils are 887s or 888s

    @coopcooper Oh ok. So then the tears can’t be lifted then?

    Do you have a budget in mind on the suspension? If you plan on doing a lot of off-road excursion you may want to consider getting a properly tuned set of shocks. Some of the cheaper lifts are ok for looks, but wont be the best long term investment if you plan to drive the truck off-road frequently.

    I’m weighing my options right now. Since my vehicle is a 2wd. I don’t really plan on going too crazy with off-roading with this one. So I’m looking for a in between type of deal. I just want good quality but for a decent price range. I’m hoping with installation. Maybe like $2000? $2500? I don’t know if that’s too low. If it is, I’ll just have more time to just research. Haha

    Lots of things to consider, unfortunately most will dictate which suspension they go with by price instead of quality/comfort. If you plan to keep the truck for a long time, IMO it's worth saving up and getting quality stuff. It will ride amazing and will last a long long time, they will also be tunable in case you add accessories or weight. Cheaper stuff, may work just fine for a street only truck and going for looks vs performance.

    Sadly the 887 or 888 set up won’t do it either. Mine initially got me around 2.5 but settled reeeeeeeal low

    Go with a spindle lift instead. Your going to need to open the budget up or refrain until you have the budget. Go with spindles, new leaf springs and a decent quality shock. The parts including tires, rims, etc. will set you back $5000-$6000. If you will have it installed by a shop you will need to figure that in.
