Going to be installing a prinsu roof rack next weekend and want to build some sort of removable platform so I can shoot prone from it. The land I shoot at has tall grass preventing prone or even bench rest shooting at long ranges. I was thinking a piece of cut plywood and some bolts to hold it down would do the trick. Any other suggestions?

I don't see why you couldn't. If you want to lay fully prone, you are going to need more length than just the roof rack can provide. You could stand in the bed and bend at the waist and rest the gun on the rack.

If you are going to be in the back with the muzzle pointing forward over the roof/windshield I would want something to protect the truck from the muzzle blast.

I would make a bed rack that would allow you to run continuous plywood over the roof and the bed. Then you could lay fully prone and shoot towards the back of the truck.

Didn't think about the muzzle blast, shell casings flying might also be an issue
