So I messed up. I thought the frame recall expired March 12th when really March 3rd, so there is a lot more to this story but basically I got it inspected on March 6th so naturally they were like sorry but no. So the dealership says call customer experience and they also said no. But they did say that it needed replacement this time (not the first time it had been inspected) Does anyone have any suggestions for what I may be able to do or just stay pissed off about missing it by 3 days?

That’s terrible, But if corporate said no, then it’s time to move on.

Wow, that blows. I would think you could negotiate for the three days. Evidently not.
I'd keep trying. I'd keep calling corporate until you find a sympathetic ear.

Like said keep on Toyota cares etc maybe they will give.
Hope it works out for you.

My wife was like it's just 3 days they will do it and I kept telling her they won't guess I was right. I might keep trying just don't know who to call next lol. Told the guy that told me no, that he probably just lost a lifetime customer he didn't seem to care.

I can't remember, I either made it on the day or the day after. I have been trying to remember that fact but I work nights so the days run together.

With a known frame issue Toyota should replace just as a goodwill gesture. The company I worked for occasionally did some goodwill with Before In Service Claims. I know this long drawn out frame issue makes me think twice about an other Toyota.

Same here thinking about gladiator for next truck (even with high road noise), I'm sitting here thinking it's just three days not like it went to crap in the last three days.

With as bad as these frame rust out I'm surprised this wasn't an all out recall. It reminds me of older Jeeps CJ7s, Wranglers, and my old '87 Ranger frames.

As much as I feel your pain, you need to look at this realistically. Toyota is offering what in effect is a 12 year frame warranty. Would any other manufacturer do anything like that - court order or not? Nope. And if you look at all of the other new parts one actually gets with a "frame replacement", Toyota has gone above and beyond with the frame program.

As with any program of this magnitude, there needs to be limits. 12 years happens to be the limit. No matter who they "stretch" that limit for - if they did - somebody else is going to be "3 days out of it" and thus very unhappy. It sucks, but rules are rules in this case and Toyota corporate has heard the story many times over. You're just not going to get anywhere.

As for buying a Jeep, you might want to look at the J.D. Power Quality rankings. The only reason I won't say Jeep is bad is because they're actually terrible.

Don't forget about Jeeps frame rust. They don't replace the frames just junk the vehicle. Fiat/Chrysler suck got rid of mine and purchased my Tacoma, never looked back.

When was it was previously inspected?maybe you’ll be able to convince someone you’re in a loophole since it’s not like you ignored/ procrastinated on the whole thing. You had brought it in before.

long shot and probably unlikely but I guess you’ve got nothing to lose by trying a few more corporate ears.

bummer of a situation though, good luck

Probably SOL, and that sucks. Mine went in just yesterday. I started this whole process back in late November. Hope you get a pass, but highly unlikely I think. Good luck.

Was a year ago in middle of February, only had like a 2 and a half week window this year to check it lol. Last year I told the guy I wanted it checked again in January and he was like have to wait a year.
