I finally got around to installing my puddle switch. I was an easy, straight forward install.

I knew, at the time I ordered it, that I didn't have a button blank to add it.

Looking at MESO's site again, I saw that the Stealth Shift Knob kit was in stock. That was the solution! Add the Stealth form my ECT button and then put the puddle switch in place of the ECT. Perfect! I don't know what I'm going to use the second button for yet. I'll find something.

I had it on there but I took it off. It actually fits a bit loose and I'm going to do something different.

 

Is there anyway to make the puddle light button works for the left side tall buttons slots?

We've been researching using the 2nd button for the Auto Highbeam switch over here.

 

If you mean left of the steering wheel cubby storage, you can get a panel for small, large and mixed switches. Meso makes them along with a dude on Shapeways.

@MESO any future plans on a wiring write up on how to activate puddle lights with the cargo lights/dome lights?

 

How’d u hook it up to the cabin lights?

 

The puddle lights + harness is already designed to hook into the cabin light/dome light. When installed they will turn on when you unlock the truck/open the door just like the dome lights do. He also has a switch now that you can use to turn them on or off.

 

It’s not actually hooked up to cabin lights, I had just closed the doors after turning on the switch. Took the photo before the lights turned off.
