I've actually contemplated this. This d'bag has gone on 3 high-end vacations since he lost this case to me, in only 4 months. He has the money but refuses to pay. That REALLY pisses me off. If he was flat broke, I wouldn't even pursue this but when I see he's constantly on vacation on Facebook, it pisses me the fuck off.

I know what he drives, where he lives, his license plate number, where he grew up, where he went to school, just about everything except where he banks!

Btw, I dig the Rollins avatar!

I've got the time & not the patience. An attorney wants a $1,500 retainer to get started on this but I'm pretty sure I can do it by myself. I'm going to start my snooping ASAP!
    Thanks.

So, our state's judgement debtor exam (a/k/a Interrogatories/post judgement interrogatories) allows all sorts of latitude to the small claims judgement holder. The court looks at you as a layman, not an attorney. Embrace your legal ignorance and run with it. If you cross a line in your questioning, the court will bring you back on track with a finger waggle.

I've only done a handful, but they're personally satisfying if not financially productive. If you're willing to be calmly aggressive, likely you'll find some satisfaction on both fronts. It's amazing what you can ask "show me how much cash/credit cards/debit cards you have in your wallet right now" "we'll wait while you go to the ATM down the hall and bring back your maximum daily withdrawal limit, a deputy can help you locate the machine if you need help". "cash advance limit on credit cards?" "list all your bank accounts and bank accounts not in your name that you're authorized to withdraw from".

That written, expect the outcome won't be a whole lot of financial return for your efforts. His profession and fact other outstanding judgments usually means he's been down this road before. Still, I've gotten paid out of pure exasperation by debtors, but it took multiple examinations, willingness to throw good money/time after bad, and keeping track of his/her past statements that were false.

    Is he a licensed contractor?

If so, go after his license. Go to the Board, file a complaint. File the judgement with the Board. If not, see if any Boards think he should have been.

Hook up with the others who sued him. Ban together and discuss hiring a lawyer to represent you all (if that’s even possible). Multiple small claims can add up and it could make sense.

Sorry you got ripped off. It’s a shitty feeling along with being personally assaulted or burgularized..

He illegally practiced electrical and plumbing. I’m working with the state on that. Thanks.

    Yikes.

This nugget changes things. If he's willing to do electrical/plumbing work minus licenses, he's not worried about a small claims judgment/judgments. I'd provide all the information/documentation I could, then let the State pursue him. My guess is your contact isn't the first time his name/company has come up.

Pity the grilling your next contractor has to go through before you agree to work being done. C'est la vie.

Find his dog. And. Take it and give it more love than he does so the dog doesn’t want to leave you and then when the cops find his dog at your place because the guy was there watching in horror and the dog goes back to him. The dog doesn’t love him anymore and his heart aches and he screams in pain and agony because you just won. You stole his dogs heart. The dog runs away from home. Travels a hundred miles and you find it sitting on your porch one day when you get home from work. You cry in excitement. You have won on two fronts. A big middle finger to the man and you gave that poor dogs soul the love it deserves.

I have nothing else to add except that if I were a scumbag and this happened to me, I'd jump off a cliff. I adore my pup, and it would break my heart if she left me for someone else. :(
