I have searched this and found one person who said no problems, but before I did an either 3/1 lift or a 2/2 lift, I thought I would see if others have any experience with this. I know I could get the TRD grill to avoid any issues, but I want to avoid that if possible.

    Thanks all!

I have a 2.5” lift. No issues. After the lift I replaced the grille with OEM Pro grille. No issues there either. And my dealership did the TSP update to the front sensor with no questions or issues.

So the pro grill and an sensor update was necessary. Did the dealer charge you?

    Thanks!

it wasn’t necessary. It is a TSP update. I guess they found that water could get inside the sensor, so they sealed it up and reprogrammed the sensor to be a little less sensitive. I believe this TSP is for all 2018-2019 Tacoma’s.
Some people have reported that their dealer had issues doing that TSP because they changed out their factory grille to a Pro grille. My dealer had no issues and didn’t ask any questions.

Thanks. I am just curious if anyone did a 3/1 lift without getting the Pro grill and did just fine with adaptive cruise control after the fact.

My bad. Your original post said 3/1 or 2/2.
After my 2.5/2 lift, I had the factory SR5 grille and I had no issues with the sensor or the ACC. I later changed it out for a OEM Pro grille, and still had no issues
