i have been checking cragslist on a daily basis lol. Only problem with an 01, is that my interest rate on an 01 will be crazy high. 03 is pretty much my cutoff point.

The one I am most considering is the silver one from Missouri. they were asking 13995. Once you would figure in their tax, title license and docking fees, it would be around 15k probably. Ive got them to let me get it for 13600 out the door.

Hmmm, something doesn't sound right. If your interest rates are higher on an '01 but you're paying thousands less then and getting a vehicle that will hold it's value better then you might consider the slightly higher interest rate. A double cab with 4wd and the v6 is going to hold it's value a lot better than a cab and a half. Gotta look at things from a long term perspctive too.

To each his own though. Have you looked into getting your loan through a credit union? I've found they have much lower interest rates and much lower fees. I just refinance my house and went to Illiana Financial Credit Union in South Holland, IL and they had much lower rates all across the board for financing (home, auto, boat, etc.)

The double cab on Craigslist seems to be a steal at that price. I almost sold mine about two months ago (without a supercharger and 103k miles) for $13,600. I had a 2-3 guys that wanted it, but I finally decided to keep it since I didn't want new Tundra payments.

What's the interest rate difference between the '01 and '03?

My interest on the 03 is 8.99, interest on an 01 will be about 10.25 she said. this is all through a credit union. I am 24 with a pretty good credit score. She sadi if i found an 04, my rate drops to around a 6.00.

I am also not looking to spend more than mid 200's a month though. I have had a payment as high as 370 a month, on one of my evos. I dont wanna be back there again, I can afford it, but I dont want to pay it anymore lol.

My interest rate is 3.74. Look at more credit unions.

ya, definately look at other Credit Unions. Those rates are ridiculous.

Here's the rates at the CU I use:
    Term Loan Vehicle Rates
    2010-2002 As Low As
    24 mos 3.90% APR
    36 mos 4.15% APR
    48 mos 4.40% APR
    60 mos 4.65% APR
    66 mos* 4.90% APR
    72 mos* 5.15% APR

and I don't have anything to do with this place. You also don't have to be local to use them. You just need to have an account with them with a certain amount of money in it to be a memeber. https://www.illiana.org/rates/loans.cfm

Not sure if it's cool or not to post a url to something like this, but I'm just trying to help you out and apparently the CU you're using is very willing to rip you off.

well, the dealer has offered me 4.89, but I hate going through the random bank or credit union the dealer pairs you up with. Cause then the title to the vehicle, if I were to sell it is in some large bank somewhere in the country. It just makes selling a hassle. I dont plan on selling a tacoma if i get one, at least for a long while, but you never know.

So I have found another tacoma, since the dealership on the silver one is giving me a run-around.

this one is an 04, double cab, 4wd, auto, 2 owner. Its black, its got new wheels and tires. the only kicker is it has 115k. Kinda makes me nervous, but I know the trucks are extremely reliable. But I can get it for 11k he said.

the one pic he has sucks though.
