I know car toys offers the service but I wasn’t sure which particular product they use, so I went to a local business that offers stuff like vinyl wrapping, plastidipping, and definitely detailing.
They used ceramic pro on my taco, but it was a bit pricey to go this route. I know a lot of members buy commercially available ceramic products and do it themselves.

if you want to locate a shop near you ceramic pro can help you search for an installer based on your zip code:

    https://ceramicpro.com/

The pictures don’t give it justice, it looks even better in person. My coworkers call it “a gleaming white truck” cause it’s very glossy.

Edit: Your truck looks great! My ‘17 is a little jealous of those LED head lights

Awesome looking truck OP. I really like the long bed on the OR. Wish it was available in Canada.

Wow thanks for the info. I just requested a quote so hopefully I’ll find a dealer nearby. How long does it take to install and what package did you go with?

Congrats and nice truck; but I’m partial to the white TRD ORs. You might be interested in this little post I did a few days ago about how I chose to mount a FTM-400. I’m still super pleased with how everything is both accessible and out of the way. Feel free to PM if you have any questions.

It took a day or two to get it done and then another 48 hours of garage time to let it cure. Went with the 5 year coat, but will upgrade that when the time comes. It’s definitely my favorite mod so far for looks and functionality.

Thanks! We just installed a FTM 400 at work, (911 dispatch) and I'm liking it. I like your antenna mount. The dash mount looks cool, do I have to drill the dash for that? I want to locate the base unit somewhere more hidden and I like being able to remove the head unit.

Congratulations on the truck. Are the powered seats a game changer?

Not really. They're nice but with 4 doors, I don't have to put it forward to get in the back. I rarely adjust my seat anyway.

The heated seats ARE a game changer!

I have the heated seats as well and they are awesome. Makes the colder days bearable.

To mount the Tacoma Track (https://tacomabeast.com/collections/accessory-mounts/products/tacoma-track-mount-2016-2019) there are two holes that needed to be drilled in the piece of molding that is around the head unit. These secure the rail onto the bracket that are included and mount to the main mounting bolts of the head unit. It’s a very nice setup.

I wanted to find someplace to mount the base, but: I really didn’t want to have it under the seat do to the snow and mud that tends to get into my Minnesota truck; the mic mounts to the base so that would also need reroutes; the power and antenna cables need routed. I also looked at mounting in other locations, but didn’t want to give up any space in storage compartments.

This was my first install I had planned in the new truck, but took me a month to decide where I wanted to mount the base in a way that was minimally interfering... this was the best I was able to come up with.

I can second the heated seats. Awesome addition. The driver side power seat is nice to have but it isn’t something I would miss all that much
