I'm not too familiar with wiring, is there a step by step YouTube video to so this mod? You would think, Toyota would have both doors already touch keyless as standard

No Youtube video that I'm aware of, but post #1 literally walks you through step by step. Added benefit is that you don't have to pause and play a video during the install.

I hate wiring, but this install is super simple. Only two wire taps... easy peasy.

I have one. It's a little raw, but search for it on YouTube. I'd post a link, but I'm driving.

Terminal for connector C29 of the Certification ECU.

Or the same repair wire for the M6 connector of the Main Body ECU used for the Fog ground add. 82998-47010

Add me to the brother/sisterhood of the "Passenger Door Smart Key System" mod! Special thanks to @Victory. I know he gets many, but they are all well deserved. It's convenient for me, again, to be a gentleman... and feel a lot smoother opening the door for my wife (instead of fumbling in my pocket for the key fob).

That being said... all of the work was pretty easy except for getting the wires through the boot! Dang, that was a PITA! Top 3 hardest things that I've done on my TACO (removing dash cigarette lighter, going through the door boot & installing Clazzio seat covers). Making me hesitant on doing the MESO Puddle Lights - LOL. But like all mods, it usually makes it worthwhile in the end.

Minor install tip from my experience: I'd use speaker wire instead of regular wire. I had to get two separate wires through the boot. Feeding one through cuts the work in half!

And I'd be remiss if I didn't say thank to all the contributors on this thread. Thank you for taking the time out of your day to post and give feedback.

Its really a simple mod .. hardest part which doesn’t really require any smarts is getting the damn wires through the door boot

I found that there was a proper orientation to get the terminals in the housing. Rotate the terminal as you are inserting it and there should be a point where it slips in and locks in place.

I am still too afraid to mess with the wiring...
Do I have to unplug the battery for this?) Ive done a front camera kit and figured how the whole set up works afterwords lol. Now this one involves tapping wires into existing set up. I guess I have to order parts and then take it slow and read thru this thread

Ross... you can do it. If you've done the front camera install... you can do this. Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy! Except for the boot... that's a PITA, but it can be done. Best of all... it can be done by YOU! (I recommend using speaker wire so you only have to go through it one time.)

Go to the very first post... read it 3-5 times. There's an install video here too... worth checking out. Watch it next time you have a few minutes.

I Promise you... IT WILL BE WORTH IT!

Then when you're done and got it working... post it on here and someone will send you an "I DID IT" T-shirt! (Just kidding about the shirt, but you'l feel real good having done this mod).

GOOD LUCK... you got this, ROSS!!!

PS Yes, disconnect the negative terminal before removing the plug... and don't connect it back up until you've reconnected the plug (with the taps in place).

it’s hilarious to me that you figured out how to hook up the MESO shifter to switch camera views but you are hesitant on performing this easy gig. Trust me the mod you did with the camera is waaay harder- this passenger door mod only requires some persistence and determination. Wish we could switch trucks so you can install my camera mod and I could do the passenger side smart handle.

Ill do your camera if you got a third gen for free if you are close to CT. I can drive for a few hours too. I posted a bunch of videos about the camera and its super easy.
