Air bag question

I am in the process of my Meso puddle light install, I am also doing a few other little projects and had to remove the drivers seat. I unhooked the Neg battery terminal and waited 15 minutes before unhooking the under seat air bag connection. Now the puddles are done and I want to test them before buttoning stuff up, I am apprehensive about reconnecting the battery with the air bag connection under the seat unhooked. I just picture the air bags all deployed as soon as I reconnect the damn battery! Are my fears unwarranted?
