Would have loved to do Rim or flag, but the majority of the forest service roads are closed until next month. We went just 5 miles above Payson to a campground called flowing springs campground. Been there before in October 2018 and we camped 5 feet from the verde river. They have since gated it all off and have signs saying to not camp within 200 ft of the river. so we took a spot with a jutty off above highway 260, wasn't bad at all.

I'd take you up on the deavers rn no lie but I've got to lift the front or do something there because I'll have the stink bug look haha. LT is a long ways away for my truck so I gotta start with small things like a spindle lift

At that price I'll bet is was prolly new or very newish like you couldnt tell it was used. If you're serious about getting good prices on them, you'll find them. Pawn shops, and internets classifieds stuff. Most would rather pay full and just click and that makes sense too. Everybody is different. But I hope you find some good priced stuff man, I don't think you'll be disappointed with Big Bertha:D

When you replied before on the Northern Tool price I figure you meant there's better prices out there. I'm looking around but I think the Northern Tool price might be the best deal. I going to try a local power tool store over the weekend.

Got my headlight filler in. Little bit of a gap on the end, need to adjust it but it looks better than the whole thing missing. Only needed the drivers side. Less than $12 for the pair, shipped.

F42 is the stock location replacement. 1.5" lift. Nothing major at all. It would look really good with your rims and tires that you already have. But yea, you have to do something with the front too.

even with me having sua being 5 lug it would work, right?

1.5 inches in the rear would be perfect after finishing the front, so I'll definitely have to stay in touch! you've done some good work to your truck, can tell you're very knowledgeable when it comes to these things :D

Ordered up some Alcan springs, been toying with wanting to get some for a long while to finally solve my leaf spring woes. Then read somewhere on here that Alcan's business was going up for sale soon, decided that was a sign that I needed to make the jump. Placed the order with Bob over the phone, should have them in 4 - 6 weeks.

Twice the $ cost of the Dakars and now the Expos that I run currently but I haven't heard a bad thing about Alcan, excited to get them.

How to press out front hubs and wheel bearings -

Make a press fixture for 12t press - fail
Make a 2nd, better press fixture - continued failure
Buy new 20t press - yep, failed some more
Give up and take them to the shop and pay $50 for them to do in 10 minutes what you struggled with entirely too long. Should have done that in the 1st place...

This is the first things in years I haven't been able to do myself.

Am I looking in the wrong spot or did oem Inner tie rods get more expensive? It has been a while since I’ve sourced them. Dont recall them being 150+ Each.
Anyone know any other sources/ quality aftermarkets?
Ive checked all my usual dealers and Toyota sites.
Lowrange has some cheap ones for $30. made by 555 but I have no experience with the quality of these.

Sounds about right based on what I saw when I was doing my tie rods over summer. I ended up getting OEM outers, then got 555 inners from LROR. Much cheaper than OEM inners, installed them over 6 months ago and they've been holding up great.

What's a custom set of dakars cost?

Some aftermarket joints don't have enough articulation to accommodate full droop. Just something to be aware of. Low probably has decent ones.

The medium duty dakars (CS046RA/B) are $196 a piece and $75 for a pair of add a leafs (D43XL-P). Not sure what custom costs.

Dakars or do you mean the Alcans? To my knowledge OME doesn't do custom Dakars, at least not for our trucks...just a standard pack that you can add leaves to

The Alcans I ordered came out to $690 to build a set that'll give me 3" lift and carry ~250# over stock. Not including shipping which is estimated at about $150

Pricey but I hear good things, and have head leaf spring headaches for a couple years. Hoping this takes care of that

Thanks, I think Ill give them a shot. My reman rack from them was good while I rebuilt my OEM one some years ago. Likely the same Inners they use for their rebuilds.

Good note I figure theres always a drawback with aftermarkets
