Im looking to put a 3 inch lift on my 19 TRD OR ACLB. Currently i am looking between the 5100s with a OME or Eibach coil and dakars, or the 6112/5160 with dakars. I am trying to figure out what would be the best to get as close to 3 inches of lift in the front as possible. I cant get any straight answer on what would work best. Everyone says something different as far as the lift they get out of the kits.

That's because everyone has a different opinion, and every lift is a little different.

Start with what you're willing to pay, what you're going to use it for, and go from there. The 6112 and 5160 setup is highly touted as an all around good setup.

I just did the 6112 & 5160 on 18 DCLB 4X4 Yesterday. Looks good, in my opinion
I was going to do the 5100’s but I just pull the trigger with the 6112 & 5160. Plus the 6112 have a special note for the taco lean

See thats what confuses me it says 1.65 inches on the as the highest for the v6 access cab but people say they get 2.5 inches out it.

Go look at Dobinson lifts. Their site so extremely easy to use and allows you to customize your whole kit. Each item has explanation of what each does and what amount of lift you’ll achieve.

No trucks are exact same though so there’s weight to factor in. No lift will tell you exact measurements but Dobinson was extremely easy and worked really well for me. Any lift you go with will be ok just figure out your budget first.

Dobinson has full setup in the box shipped to you fully setup for easy install if you choose to have them preinstall your coils. If you go higher than 2-1/2” they recommend aftermarket upper control arms but I didn’t buy theirs instead I bought jba UCAs and had a heck of a time getting someone to align my truck. Make sure you find a shop that will set the caster to 4+ degrees and then adjust the rest or else you’ll rub like mad. If you stay with stock coils hopefully alignment shop has no problems but still need the caster adjusted higher to allow for larger tires if that’s your goal.

One last thing to note is larger tires for off road typically going to be e rated and much more firm so your ride will change. To see the difference in ride quality out stock wheels and tires back on and ride a couple miles then see what it rides like with the new wheels and tires if you go that route.

I was looking at dobinsons as well. My local toyota dealership uses them for all their builds. They also want to charge a small fortune for their lifts on top of labor. I can do it myself with the coils pre built. I emailed dobinsons just waiting on a response.

If you have some forum members near you, installing the suspension with the struts preassembled is pretty straight forward so you could save some labor that way.

He’s being suggestive! I had zero people help me it was that easy. Granted an extra set of hands would have been nicer just for placing the new leaf pack in but I had zero help with mine. Took me one afternoon after work to do it all but I did take everything apart the afternoon before. Disassembly was much faster of course as it took me less than 2 hours to disassemble. I already have all the necessary tools so that made it easier also. You’ll need a torque wrench and some metric tools up to 22 mm if I remember correctly.

Now, if you get UCAs, that takes longer than the rest of the entire suspension it seemed. Time wise it didn’t take too long but the aggravation made it seem longer.
