Second owner, 2005, and just rolled over 80,000 miles on the original drive-train.

2005 Radiant Red 4-dr TRD Sport 4x4 - bought it new in 2004 for $29,127.34 incl tax/tags/title out the door - have 111k on it today - garaged 24/7 except when driving - looks like new and has been an amazing truck. I have added a Pioneer AVH-4100NEX sound system (awesome upgrade) as well as a back-up camera as well as front & rear dashcam (mounted on front side of rearview mirror for a hidden look) as the only upgrades. The brake pads/shoes are still original (has more to do with my driving style) and the original Bridgestone tires lasted 88k miles and rolled as quiet the day they were replaced as the day I bought the truck (rotated every 7k mi using a criss-cross method, the only way to rotate tires regardless of what you read unless you have alignment issues). Tires replaced with same Bridgestone OEM brand from Costco and they still look new with 23k mi on them now. Besides oil changes (very easy) and air filter replacements, replaced the plugs at 90k with OEM Iridium Denso plugs & did a coolant change. The highway ride on this truck is fantastic and we opt to take this on long trips over our "luxury" car. The truck is a gem. My only worry is the head gasket problems that others have reported (really wish Toyota would step up to owning the 05-06 head gasket design flaw). We'll cross that bridge if/when we get there. For now, after 15 years of trouble-free driving with zero dealership visits and one tire change, I couldn't be happier.

159K miles, runs fine, no major issues. I take the best possible care of it and drive it like an old man. I keep a very close eye on the coolant tank, dipstick and oil filler cap, but hope for the best. If it wasn't for the head gaskets, this year would be the best 2nd Gen model.

Contemplated selling at one point due to being nervous about head gaskets... just rolled over 120k. Just decided to save for new engine instead. Too many memories, fishing trips, camping with my boys etc... to give it up. Will be picking up a GFC soon, and I am also fabricating a high clearance bumper that should be done around the same time... so I am in a committed relationship :)IMG_0296 (1).jpg

Still have mine. Bought it new in September 2005. 66,000 miles with 3 year old frame. Looks almost new except for my crappy wheels.

    Here!

    Bought new nov 04

1 of 4 indigos in cali I was told.
Had to go down to a dealer near sac who got it from a dealer farther south in bakersfield. 240 miles on it when I picked it up.

Still remember the 2finger wave off the steering wheel and knowing nod & grin when I passed another 2nd gen, they were rare and far between.

Dont remember when I saw my 1st other blue one other than speedway but it was a while after I got it before another indigo was running around town and it was a dc.

bought it in new December 2004 ... now with 158k miles. I figured I’d give it to the kids in a few years but I may just keep it forever ...
