So I'm thinking about getting new wheels. The stock wheels are 16×7 with a 265/70r17 tire . I'm looking at getting a 17 inch rim on the same size tire and the smallest size wheel is 17x9. Can I put these on, and they not rub? If not would I have to get the small offset?

Should, but they could rub the brake caliper.

    What is the offset?

17s won’t rub the caliper. Offset is gonna determine any rub issues.
