    Yep,
I have it just about all thought out and found sources for all the parts, I will be making all the parts I can like the link mounting points, shackles, frame extensions... already have the drive shafts just need to know how long they need to be. I have most of the hydro assist parts I need too. Been looking at tubing benders to make the exoskeleton. I welded in the bar for the seat harnesses. Just so many little things to buy and do.

the jd^2 benders seem to be the way to go. Add a hydraulic ram to it and you are in business. Will be one of my next purchases.

sounds like a fun project for sure.

Hidden gem it is. What's great about it, is getting off the beaten path. There are so many waterfalls you can find off the main trails. You gotta explore off the main trails though.

There is nothing on that rig to center the front axle, no panhard with what looks to be only 2 links to the frame. Also no steering components on the front axle.

    that would be nice though

Dakar is just branding by Old Man Emu (OME), all owned by ARB. The initial reason they named the springs the Dakar line is when they stopped making them in Australia and started making them in Malaysia, and wanted to easily identify the real OME leaf springs from the new "Dakar" ones. Turns out, the Dakar quality was about 2x as good as the old OME's, although the designers still didn't get some of the spring designs right for a long time (aka all Tacoma springs until a year or two ago with the updated version).

And since companies like ToyTec and others did so well selling the Dakars in large volumes, the name stuck. They were planning to stop using the name to bring attention back to OME, but I think people complained that it wouldn't be a good idea to do that now.

Yeah I hate seeing things like that they are so hard to figure out sometimes. When I see things like that in person I take pictures at every angle I can.
