I wanted to tint my third brake light but every time the paint dries it cracks. Tried doing yet another coat but it still ended up cracking. Any tips?

Much lighter coats and let them dry between coats.

    ^ this

Change the tip of the spray can for one that atomizes the product better. Don't go for flow, dust that shit on with lots of light coats.

Also prep the surface by wiping with a pre paint cleaner (or glass cleaner in a pinch)
