Hey guys thought I’d start a thread to mostly document the build of my recently purchased 07 double cab prerunner. I have a very long history of long travel trucks but this is the first one I’ve built from essentially complete stock I’ll be asking some questions along the way through the build!

purchased the truck a couple months ago from the original owner it had quite a few mods and I will be taking everything off (figured i could recoup some of my money from these parts)

    plans are
    Dirt King long travel kit
    Camburg spindles
    King 2.5 coilovers front
    King 2.5 bypass front
King 2.0 bumps front and rear
    King 3.0 bypass rear
    Fiberworks glass
    17” method double standards
    35x12.50x17 Toyo RT
Dirt king will be prototyping their new spring under kit and bolt in bedcage and plating the frame from the cab back

Here’s a few before pics, bumpers, tires and wheels, all suspension is for sale DM me if interested

Got my front glass on (Fiberwerx 6”) and putting the bedsides on this weekend. Also mounted my wheels and tires I ended up selling my double standards and getting some Ultra X103 beadlocks

Haha that’s the truth I had those methods sitting there for months and literally about a week ago I thought I better get real beadlocks. I’ll post updates throughout the next few weeks while it’s at Dirt King

Dirt King has been kicking ass they are revising the hanger and shackle setup currently to get more bump travel, gonna have them notch the frame and integrate the bumpstop into it and build sheet metal inner fenders in the rear to get 19” of travel and strap it at 18”. Going into it I was hoping for 16-17” so I’m beyond happy, also modifying the inner fenders in the front for upper arm clearance to get 15” of travel all said as done. Bypass hoop is mocked up and starting to assemble and cycle the front suspension to set the bumpstop

Cycling the front suspension to set up the bump stop, King was supposed to end the shocks with a +1” rod end which they didn’t so downsouth Motorsports is swapped those out and got everything set up, pulled back apart and painted and should be final assembled today or tomorrow

Now that the front is wrapped up onto the back, front and rear hangers and shackles are done, started the bedcage. Then onto notching the frame, setting up bump stops and building the rear inner fenders and finish the front bumper
