OK, So this may be a weird question/discussion that I will start, but I just want some clarification. I have a 2017 TRD Sport and have been researching 6 inch lift kits at nauseam. I was considering the Rough Country 6 inch lift and was looking at some of their pictures of it on a 3rd gen Tacoma that is on their website and IG. Now, this may be just me, but from the looks of it, it seems like the rear lift is just slightly lower than the front. You can see from the side shot of the Tacoma that there is a tad bit more of a gap between the top of the tire to the bottom of the fender flare on the front. Now, I have also looked at other Tacoma's with 6 inch lifts from Pro-Comp and BDS and the distance in the wheel well from the front to the rear looks identical.

With that being said, I went out into my garage and measured the distance from the ground to the bottom of the fender flare on the front and the back and the rear sits exactly 1 1/2 inches higher than the front, meaning, to level out the truck and to add a total of 6 inches of lift then you would need 6 inches in the front and 4 1/2 inches in the rear. After chatting with RC, they said their rear blocks are 4 1/2 inches, so the truck SHOULD sit perfectly level. I have also chatted w/ Pro Comp and their kit comes with a rear block and an add-a-leaf together. They told me their rear blocks are 3 inches and their AAL's are 1 inch for a total of 4 inches, which is a 1/2 inch lower than RC's. But, what I don't understand is RC's lift still looks like its just a tad bit lower in the rear and PC's looks like it sits perfectly level.

I know you guys think this is something stupid to be concerned about but Im very anal with things like thisand I think if my truck wasn't perfectly level then it would bug the crap out of me! lol So, any input on this subject would be appreciated. If anybody has a RC or PC lift on a 3rd get Taco, let me know how it sits. I have attached 4 photos, the first 2 are the RC and the the second 2 are PC. Thanks.

I would not recommend rear blocks that large. Check out atlas springs. They're custom made springs and you could even lift the rear 6" to keep that tiny bit of factory rake.

Firemedic, good to see another brother in the dept.
I never measured from floor to fender, due to different tire sizes playing a factor in the result.
However, my 6" procomp lift sits at 27.75" in the rear from center of hub to bottom of fender. The rear lift on my truck is a OME Dakar leaf pack, with 3" block
