Sweet! I dig the minimalist styling. I wish someone made something like this for 3rd gen 4runners.

Looking good man. What's the thought behind the bolted on plates?

Really looking forward to getting your full rack setup installed soon!

Thanks! Those allow a combination of of different light options to be added or changed at anytime. They also provide good access for welding and powder coating.

Those last pictures look better than the first pictures. On the first pictures, that mini light bar cutout isn't my cup of tea and it looks like the mini bar is actually not level which looks sloppy. Without those though, and with the flexible light options with the plates, this looks like a decent offering.

    On
the Tacoma? That is not a cutout but the factory fog light location. But again, all these options are bolt on for this reason, not every one has the same taste.

Those last pictures are of a Landcruiser. It has a different front bumper that doesn't have the large holes on the sides.

That being said, it seems as if there was more care taken while installing the bumper on the Landcruiser than on the Tacoma. The cuts are straight, gaps have been addressed with weatherstripping, and the bumper is level. If the Tacoma bumper is a beta test or a prototype, its understandable. However, if that is going to be the fit and finish of the final product, I do find it a bit concerning. The amount of variance between the panel and bumper gaps on both sides look really bad.

Location has nothing to do with my comment. It's 100% about the fit and finish, it looks sloppy. It doesn't fit the space very well, it's not level, etc. I wouldn't come and post those pictures as my new bumper for the world to see, I would be embarrassed to share that fit and finish as a representation of my shop's work. To each their own I guess.

    I appreciate the feed back!
This is a rough version with refinements to be made. That being said the lights are not fully bolted down in the pic however they are flat. I do see what you are saying but it must be the pics. as for the body gaps, these are completely controlled by the installer, ours Has already been cut for the previous bumper So we will have to figure that out. I will say that a 5/8” gap is required for proper body to frame clearance and even that will contact under extreme flex. Again this is literally mocked up and I may have been a bit to excited and posted pic to soon. Anyone that knows our work knows the fit and finish on our products is some of the best in the industry and we will have the same results on this finished product.

Very cool. I'm a fan of the modularity. I wasn't super thrilled of the light strip (small holes in a line) on the V1 so this is a big plus for me personally.

I also like how you don't have to cut the grille assembly to mount this one up. I think I'd want to go with a fatter/taller 6" light bar in those holes in the OEM bumper. I think it might fill the space a little better.

Good work on the little angled piece of metal to make those holes look intentional.

Looks like the fit and finish of the bumper itself looks great. By that I mean the welds look excellent and it all looks lined up and polished. It looks like raw metal before powdercoat, which once coated will go a long way toward looking like a "finished product." I'd be willing to bet the light bar and mount are straight considering the accuracy of their racks and other products. The bumper cuts need some work, but as he said above, those were cut a long time ago and for another bumper. The LC picture is probably closer to what it would look like had they done it based on this specific bumper.

As someone who does product development myself, I appreciate lifting the veil on products sooner. It allows people to see the work in process and give feedback before everything is buttoned up. Just kind of helps the iterative nature of design.

Based off what the welds look like (amazing), and the general fabrication quality of the bumper, I can see how the finished product will be a lot better. Cant wait to see it!
