    Yes they were! I didn’t fish that long and they were pounding my bait. I wanted to hang out with my wife, so I fished for a limited time only.

    nobody else was fishing when I was but when I left a kid showed. He was on his last bait, so I gave him the last of mine. I hope he killed them.

    What setup were you using? I want to get into perch fishing but I think my surf rod/reel is too heavy for it.

    Light. I have a salmon steelhead rod. 8.5 foot I think. Med action

    3000 series reel. (Not sure what that means - it’s a salt water reel). 20 braid with a about 15 feet of 10lb mono on the end. Then I just fish a 10z grape shaped slip sinker Carolina style. Fake Gulp bloodworms.
