I’m at 3.0 which isnt crappy. I cant refi with my same bank for 10 months.
Refi costs with them are $350.

I’m paying off the house soon enough its really not a big deal. Its fast enough where any closing costs over $1,000 aren’t gonna be worth it.

Good problem to have I guess

That's in the top 5 fave things about living where I do. There's nothing better than whipping it out on the deck while watching the deer graze. Very relaxing.

Been a busy week... Had a phone interview on Tuesday and within 5 minutes the guy wanted me to fly to NY for an interview. I was able to get an interview closer than NY... I didn't mind either way. I drove to Chicago and met with Sr. Director and a district manager and proceeded with an in person interview there...

2.5 hours later... I was done... whew that was lengthy. Their company has alot to learn... They also learned alot about me they didn't know I had background in. I felt great about the interview.. we'll see how it pans out. This role is pretty high.. Regional Manager, I'd be managing 8 managers and who operate over 20 locations.

    Sounds like a sweet gig.

I hope you get an offer!

    Will you have to move?

Yes, relo to NY. The position is 50% travel though, I am going to at least counter offer that I stay here in Indiana, because I can accept a much lower base pay wage. I won't move to NY for less than 130 base - no thanks. The other 50% is work remotely. Hopefully if they do like me enough they will bite.

    Oh damn.
Big cost of living change. $130k may be too little lol.

It would be a cool adventure though. New places new things.

I hope it goes your way and this is a positive move for you and the fiance no matter what.

It is, but it's not that drastic, nobody said we need to live in the heart of the high cost :)

Yes, I locked in at 3%. Have been slowly trending back up since early in the week, right? Or am I missing something?

    I’m 3.0% on a 10yr.
Should have waited like 2 weeks to get sub 3 but hey, can’t time the market.

Hopefully I’ll be paying zero percent on my little shack by end of 2021. Then I can save for a bomb ass crib like all yall got

Our version of the Fed here just cut the overnight lending rate again by half a point...i imagine rates will drop again temporarily here. I'm not actually in my mortgage yet as we just bought a house and don't close until May, so there's hope.

On another note, today in the gym I realized I have the Judgement Night soundtrack on my iPod, and, inspired by the sweet undercut earlier in this thread did a 90's themed ass kicking legs day. Cue falling the last 2" onto the toilet later tonight when I try and sit down.
