Recently (March 1st) purchased my second Toyota truck of my life. In 1983 I purchased my first Toyota 4x4 truck, before Tacoma's or Tundra's. Loved that truck, kept it till I started a family. Needed something bigger, read Suburban. My most recent ride was a 2001 Jeep XJ Cherokee. Fully built for off roading. Had lots of adventures in it. Never got stuck but pulled my share of people out of where they were stuck. Great off road vehicle, but I was ready for a change. Something more comfortable, lower maintenance, better fuel economy, but still capable off road. Kids are all married, just me and the wife. Retiring in 493 days.

For those TW members that listen to Dave Ramsey, I did not go into debt for my new Tacoma. I saved for 2.5 years and sold some things. Then on March 1st, 2020. I walked into Toyota of Orange to see Kevin O'Connell, recommended by a friend at church. Two hours later I walked out with a great deal on a white 2020 Tacoma TRD Pro, wrote a check for the full amount. NO payments. I'm debt free and will stay that way the rest of my life.

I love my new Tacoma, it's only been a few days so I'm still learning how to work everything. But having a great time. I have a company provided truck for work, so I haven't had that much time in the Tacoma yet. Looking forward to many great new adventures in the years to come!

Welcome, great choice by the way. Won't be long until you start spending $$$ to modify that truck!
