That’s awsome. Ahh I didn’t read it was for a 2nd gen... I had thought wow a 3rd gen shell for $300. I bought my ARE MX 6ft silver carpet, front slide, side sliders with screens x2, rope lights x2 and roof tracks for 1100 used 6 months ago 3rd gen

I am looking for a shell for my 2019 DCLB. After some research and visiting 2 dealers in area (Austin TX), I have received two quotes for the Snugtop Rebel. These quotes include carpeted headliner, 2 side windoors, folding front window, roof tracks (no roof rack, just tracks), and backdoor keyless entry (keyed to may truck key fob).

Both quotes are near $3,500 + tax.

Does this seem absurdly high ?

Seems high to me. Bought a Snugtop hi-liner one year ago for a 2018 DCLB. No roof track or keyless entry but with carpeted inside, sliding windows and folding front window. $2200 out the door in Ventura, CA.

Seems high, I bought that exact same topper and options with the exception of 1 vented windoor on drivers side only, in Colorado for $2996 tax included. Ask them if they'll price match and then show them my invoice. If it works, you owe me a beer ;-)
    Good luck!

Brand new ARE V with Yakima core bars installed 1450$ at a dealer. Someone had laid down a deposit and didnt come back. Priced it out at about $2350 from a local dealer. Ive been looking for about a year, so Im very happy. Dogs arent allowed in the truck, so they will enjoy this the most. Wife was more satisfied with the color match over a used Leer we tried previously

How did you seal the bed and shell to stop leaking and dust?

That still doesn’t seem bad. Are they vented windoors and can I see more pics?

Doors closed pics and rear window pictures. I’m sure you don’t mind showing it off. Any pics will do

Yeah no prob lol. Here’s all i’ve got. And yes the windoors slide open in the middle so you can have a ventilation with a mesh screen. Overall i like the quality of the hinges and struts.

Vaca valley truck and sport utility center in Vacaville on Callen. I drove up there from Bakersfield to get my ARE installed. Kevin is owner. Might be worth the drive for you.

The dealer installed, and they were pretty fanatical with the sealing etc. im afraid to take it off. The 4 clamps are pretty robust as well. I use a drive thru car wash frequently and have had no leaks inside whatsoever.
The only glitch I have seen on this is the narrow rubber glued on gasket at top of rear hatch was poorly glued. Side sliders are certainly old school bargain basement stuff. Windoors or equivalent would be just awesome. But I will survive.

Too many but also not enough mods
I was sent quotes for Leer caps from my local shop; includes install, side sliding windows with screens and interior dome light.
    • 100 - $1725 (5YR Warranty)
    • 100R - $1850 (Lifetime Warranty)
    • 180 - $1950 (5YR Warranty)
    • 180XR - $2150 (Lifetime Warranty)

    Extras:
    • $125 front sliding window
    • $150 headliner
    • $200 color match (most likely have to buy this since my truck is orange)
    • plus 9% tax
Leaning towards 180XR and will definitely go for color match. Headliner and front sliding window useful?

I have the long-bed, however i've been told by ARE that they don't make the vended windoors (or any windoors) for short bed models? Did you get lucky with this one?
