Truth be told, you (maybe not you, but most people) would bitch and moan to high heaven if your 2020 truck was anything like a 1960's truck... but hey, maybe in 60 years we'll all be pining for our 2020 trucks and their amazing transmissions.

No, it won't because nothing could match those 1st generation Broncos! I loved the hell out of mine- they'd go anywhere you pointed 'em.

That said, the air vents seeped cold air on your feet all winter and they were noisy. But I had the fancy Ranger so it had the 351, power steering, two tone paint, more chrome, a soft and a hardtop, and twin 19 gallon gas tanks that you could switch on the fly with a petcock valve in front of the seat. Now there's some options for ya!

I put a lot of miles on my dad's '67. There's was 45° of free play in the steering wheel! You had to be a real man to keep that truck between the ditches!

But I gotta admit, the little 302 and 4 speed was a blast (or maybe it was a 3 speed).

My grandmother, born in 1889, had a saying "People who say the good old days were better are full of shit. I was there, I know." (think Betty White without a filter) I would buy a modern version of the 1984 Toyota Hi-Lux in a heart beat. But, I wouldn't want an original from 84. I'm sure the new Bronco is going to be a bloated Murican mess.
