After driving my truck down the highway (had 8 miles at purchase), I was getting the feel of it. I had been driving a Benz for the past 9 years and it is quite a bit different.

The first thing I noticed was there was a flutter of the hood as I got going. I had heard that some trucks had a bonding issue where it was not secured to the stiffener structure underneath.
Anyone else have that with your truck?

Next was the recall on the TSS, the radar in the grill emblem. Simple enough, the dealership took care of it. Fortunately I had not installed any bumper or frontend modifications or they would not have honored the recall.

The other day I got into my truck to go to work and my battery was dead. I have a bit of a problem with a battery going bad and being a year and a half old.

    Now for the big question:
The transmission shifting. Putting the truck in cruise control and going up hill the truck will down shift and won't up shift unless I take it out of cruise.
I mentioned it to the service manager when I took it in for it's 10,000 service and he had the mechanic "reset the computer". Well, I know from my industry what he did and it seemed to help, yet it still does it.
On that same subject, is anyone getting the advertised MPG on the highway?
With the cruise control on my MPG drops below 17. When I have my foot on the gas, I can get it back up to 20.

Thanks for your input and suggestions. And I hope this thread will be able to help others with their truck.

    Gator
