Ive been lurking on the wheel forum for months now. Ive scrolled through the entire "show off your steelies" section, and tried a million google searches and my current dilemma is this:

Recently got a 2011 Black SR5 AC 4x4 that has the 16" star steelies. Came across a reasonable deal on some 17" fj's with the center cap. Not interested on black rims on black paint. Do I:
-Spend another 3-400$ powder coating 17"s which im not sold on as I'm not sure how I feel about 17" on the second gen. Anyone else feel the 17" rims take over the truck a little?
-Track down 16" steelies and powder coat those?
-Or keep my star steelies and just keep it basic? Also priority to keep weight to a minimum. Not going any taller than 255/75r17 if I go that route, or 265/75r16 if I stay 16". I also have an ARE ALUMINUM camper shell and a somewhat tight budget so I'm trying to keep with a slightly beefed up original/classis look. Love the hilux/ old school look.

Gonna throw on some Cooper Discovery at3's and a bilstein/ OME lift from Headstrong in the next 2 weeks. Wheels are my last dilemma.

I would keep what you have but just put some good white letter out tires on em,

Will help the looks a TON!

I would have went KO2s but didn’t want to spend that much and/or push the weight either.

I should throw this pic up here too,

Tried on a 255/85R16 Cooper on a 16x7 spare steelie and loved it! This was after I put on my 3rd Gen OR shocks and springs, lifted my front end over 1” due to me being the 2.7L.

I’m looking forward to black steelies w/KO2s in a while as I don’t think I wanna commit to 255s but that may change!
